Rae Anne received her B.A. in English at West Virginia University, Morgantown, West
Virginia, in 1994. She received her M.A. in English at Marshall University, Huntington,
West Virginia, in 1998. She has been teaching college level English, composition, and
literature now for four years. She is currently Visiting Instructor of English at Glenville
State College. Having been responsible for various corporate newsletters in the past, she
has always wanted to start a literary magazine. Rae Anne also edited a novel, The Tree
of the Nevee, for publication. She may be reached at editor@mountainechoes.com
Jerry received his Baccalaureate degree at Marshall University, Huntington, West Virginia, in
1982, a Master's degree at West Virginia University, Morgantown, West Virginia, in 1989,
and a Doctorate degree from West Virginia University in 1991. His first novel, The Tree of
the Nevee: A Kabbalistic Story of Elijah the Wizard was published in December, 2002. Jerry
is an amateur mathematician and scientist, a licensed attorney, and some of his favorite
West Virginia memories are of sitting around the kitchen table with other Appalachian people
drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes, sharing stories. Stories like those are his main
